Innovation and quality - for over 140 years

The first patent on the fabrication of crucibles was granted by King of Saxony in 1875. Since then, the resultant MAMMUT-WETRO Schmelztiegelwerk GmbH is developing into a global leading producer and supplier of crucibles. The combination of material development, production, quality management and application assessment ensures the manufacture of crucibles at the highest level.

The changeover to resin bond and the introduction of isostatic pressing mode were significant milestones in the development of our company. Together with a special firing process they create the foundation for our high-value product properties. The manufacture of our crucibles is certified according ISO 9001: 2015.
